PREDICTIBLE EVALUATION TO SUICIDAL ATTEMPTS AMONG KOREAN

Abstract
The authors have studied the scores of predictibility to attempt suicide between the attembted suicides and the control groups. 88 of suicide attempted case had admitted to "suicide prevention center", Catholic Medical Center, Seoul Korea. otherwise, control group was selected number of 100 college students from two medical college and other woman¡¯s college since 1st, April, 1969 to 30th, Sept., 1969.
It revealed following results:
1) Both of the attempted suicide cases and control group cases ranged age of 16 year old upto 35 year old.
2) There are no significant value of predictiting scores in sex difference among the both groups.
3) The mean score of suicidal prediction was remarkably elevated, 74 among attempted suicidal cases compared with 34 of control groups.
4) It picked 59 critiacl point of suicidal predicting scale up from the range which is overlap between the both two group¡¯s distributing score.
5) There are 14% of significant suicidal risk even among the control group. It is so valuable to prevent and to search out the suicidal attempt.
6) This modified suicide predicting scale is very useful todelicate to suicidal prevention.
